I’m not sure why I like this thing, but I do. The Citroen Mehari is the unicorn of horned horses.

It looks like an offroad machine, but check out those “Super Swamper” tires. They really bite into those tight corners.

The Mehari might be a little strange by modern standards. That might be why I like it so much. I would “daily” this hardtop year round.

I’d say those tires are perfectly suited for the intended terrain for the Mehari - flat, sandy terrain. Like, say, beaches.

For fairly shallow, flat sections of beach, narrow tires tend to be better at finding the more densely packed sand and are better at turning.

For climbing dunes... well, it’s got a 2CV engine, you probably aren’t going to be doing so.
